Turkey is seeking to expand its influence all over the Middle East. Intimidating Greece is part of an effort to gain control over natural gas fields present near Cyprus. The Turkish economy is suffering from embargo’s and military costs are rising fast so Turkey must do something to boost revenue. The fact that France is showing muscles will force Erdogan to seek revenue elsewhere or to be more bold and accept the fact there will be a confrontation. Will Turkey seek an alliance?
