I wish you all a Happy and blessed 2021! I hope 2021 will be a year filled with the fruit of the spirit.
In 2 Timothy 4:3 we read the following: “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”
I think this text is talking about non-christians and christians, who have lost God’s way and are following their own desires. Paul gives us this prophecy in his second letter to his good friend Timothy and today we can see this being fulfilled! The internet provides a lot of teachers with even more teachings. Many teachers are looking for as much followers as they can reach, because they all want to have a successful online ministry. To be popular often means to give the viewers what they want to hear. This results in teachings that are filled with sensational claims, dreams and visions “from” the Lord. As christians it is difficult to check all this information and we might get caught in the enthusiasm of others.
I want to encourage you to stay close to Gods Word and warn you to be very careful when someone declares to have received a vision or dream from God. We are approaching the final 7 year period, Jacob’s trouble, so the rapture is even more imminent. Jesus is looking for His bride to take home. Let’s be focused on His kingdom and not on our worldly goods. Pray everyday that His will for your life will become clear, He will bless you with everything you need, in His time.
May the Lord keep you save and fill you with His loving Holy Spirit.
May you be a light for His kingdom to the world.
